Last week, we shared an interview with Spiritual Health Coach, Riva Jean-Paul where we discussed the significance of resilience in our lives, what it means and how we can gain more of it. One of the big takeaways was that resilience doesn’t look like muscling through, it looks like rest and getting back up again.
We also talked about the perils of too much resilience which for us was a really important point. You don’t have to be the toughest one all the time. Really, you shouldn't. Make mistakes, take breaks, forgive yourself, forgive others, and recognize that chances are, there will always be more on the list to do tomorrow!
Below are some of the questions that we mulled over to prepare us for our discussion on resilience. We invite you to reflect on these questions and consider them as journal prompts. Perhaps find a companion to discuss answers!
1. What impact can resilience play in your life?
2. Do you consider resilience a practice or a state of being or something else?
3. Can you share a story from your life where you learned the importance of resilience in self-care, self-leadership, and self-love?
4. How are resilience and leadership related?
5. What role do you think resilience plays in identity? Think about people that you consider to be resilient and people that you think of being less resilient. How does resilience shape their identity and personality?
6. How can a business, organization, or large group be strengthened by organizational resilience?
7. Reflect on your conversations. What kind of activities can you implement this week around resilience?

PS - In honoring the rest needed for resilience, don’t feel obligated to knock all of these out! Consider one a success, two - even better!
